Does This Pauline Text Concern Our Age and Are There Similar Warnings in the Quran and Other Religious Texts?

Speaking as a Christian, that verse could refer to any and all ages of humanity in some way. I think we're getting close and we're progressing towards that point, but we still do have some people who at least PRETEND to be good from time to time... by the time we reach the above point, the veil's gonna be off and it's not gonna be nothin' nice at all.
