Why are black/ dark skin black women hypocrites (Black men and women)?

Why do most bw complain that black men/ dark skin black men prefer lighter skin females/ white females nowadays when before black women used to prefer light skin black/ white men back in the day. I’m talking about before Michael Jordan and 50 cent where do you think the saying came from that dark skin black men are in and light skin black men are out. Remember when light skin black men were the thing back in the day (talking about 80s through 90s) until Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan and 50 cent came in and took over and who promoted them, it was the white media not black women and black women just followed what was shown. Black women were not even thought of as self haters back in the day for preferring lighter skin men over dark skin black men. Please try and search this up if you think I’m lying.
