My daughter's dad flipped when I filed for child support, what should I do?

The father of my child and I have been apart for 9 months or more. He is with someone else and got her pregnant as well. I am also with someone else but, I was having money trouble and filed for temporary family assistance. In order to receive it I have to file for child support. I thought he would be fine with it since it would give him rights that he doesn't have now since he is not listed as her dad. He flipped out, cussed me and told me I was a piece of crap mother since I won't get out and find a job and just want to milk him. He don't have a job cause he lost his job when he got with his new girlfriend and he has warrants for his arrest. He kept going saying that I picked the perfect time to file since he had another child on the way. He hasn't given me a cent in 8 months, he gave me $240 and that was it. My daughter calls my boyfriend daddy and barely knows who my ex is. Should I go through with the child support or drop it and list my boyfriend as her dad?
